Anthony John Kerin, III is a founding member of Flicker, Kerin, Kruger and Bissada LLP, and has practiced in California for over 30 years. Mr. Kerin leads the firm’s practice in a full range of complex business and corporate issues, real estate transactions and disputes, construction negotiations and contracts, civil litigation and arbitration as well as working within the Family Law Department in these areas. Mr. Kerin’s clients include corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, developers, real estate investors, property managers, contractors, individuals and estates. The diversity and complexity of Mr. Kerin’s client base and practice areas allows him to skillfully provide guidance and meticulous cost-benefit analysis. With over 30 years of business and corporate practice and actual prior business experience, Anthony John Kerin has developed a comprehensive knowledge of the formation of business entities, mergers, acquisitions and sales of privately held companies. Mr. Kerin’s dynamic practice allows him to confidently advise his corporate clients on employment law compliance, executive compensation and severance agreements. Real Estate Law

Mr. Kerin represents, defends and advises clients on all aspects of real estate transactions, including the purchase, sale, exchange and lease of commercial and residential properties, co-ownership management and operational counseling.

Family Law

Mr. Kerin’s broad knowledge and experience in business, partnership, corporate and real estate is indispensable to the Family Law Department. Mr. Kerin’s expertise is an especially crucial component of providing high net worth clients with diligent and thorough representation (protection) in their dissolution. Mr. Kerin works on Family Law cases involving valuation and appraisal of privately held businesses and real estate holdings, income available for child support and spousal support, pre-marital, post-marital, cohabitation agreements, post-judgment joint ownership agreements for real estate and business entities, division of stock options and RSUs, tracing of separate property and community property assets, analysis of marital standard of living, analysis as to when a high-earner spouse may cap child support obligations based upon a reasonable needs analysis for the children, vocational assessments for the non-working spouse, post-judgment modification of child support and spousal support based upon a change of circumstances.

Civil Litigation and Arbitration

Mr. Kerin has a distinguished track record of successfully prosecuting and defending a broad array of civil matters, and has extensive court trial, arbitration and mediation experience concerning business and commercial contract, real estate and construction disputes.

Professional Involvement

Mr. Kerin is a longstanding member of the California State Bar, the Palo Alto Area Bar Association, and the Santa Clara and San Mateo Bar Associations. Mr. Kerin is also a panel member on the roster of experienced attorneys who are referred judicial arbitration cases from the Santa Clara County and San Mateo County Bar Association. This position enables Mr. Kerin to provide his clients with deeper mastery and ability to negotiate for their interests. Mr. Kerin has presided as arbitrator in over ten commercial litigation cases from these bar associations over the past five years.
