Before entering the legal field, Mr. Erb spent several years as a business valuation analyst, most recently at Burr, Pilger, Mayer, Inc. Mr. Erb prepared valuations for compliance, litigation and strategic purposes. His client base consisted of private and public companies across several industries, with a primary focus on technology companies.
During law school, Mr. Erb worked in the Private Equity Group at Silicon Valley Bank. At SVB he was a part of the Entrepreneur Services and Venture Capital Relationship Management Groups and helped with diligence and cross platform relationship efforts.
During his undergraduate studies in Finance at Santa Clara University, David C Erb worked in the group responsible for executive stock option trading at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney (formerly Smith Barney).
In 2017, 2018 and 2019, Mr. Erb was been recognized on the Super Lawyers® Northern California Rising Stars list. Super Lawyers® evaluates attorneys based on twelve factors including peer recognition, professional achievements and community service. They then select the top 2.5% of attorneys under 40 or in practice for less than 10 years.
Mr. Erb was elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the Family Law Section of the Contra Costa County Bar Association for the years 2014 – 2018. In 2017, Mr. Erb was elected to serve as the section President.
In 2018, 2019 and 2020, Mr. Erb was elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the entire Contra Costa County Bar Association.
Mr. Erb is admitted to practice in all California state courts, the United States District Court, Northern District of California and the United States Court of Appeals, Ninth District.
Mr. Erb is a member of the Contra Costa County Bar Association, Alameda County Bar Association, San Mateo County Bar Association and Santa Clara County Bar Association.
David C Erb received his Juris Doctorate from Santa Clara University School of Law in May 2010.
Mr. Erb earned his Bachelor of Science in Commerce (Finance) from Santa Clara University in 2007.
